Rey Mysterio Returns To WWE Raw Tonight?
Tonight's Raw SuperShow comes from Mysterio's home town of San Diego, California.
There are big rumours this afternoon that Rey Mysterio is set for an appearance on tonight's Raw SuperShow, which comes from the superstar's home town of San Diego, California. Former three time World Champion, Mysterio has been sidelined with a knee injury since August having undergone surgery a little time after WWE SummerSlam. Although his injury prognosis was given as between six to eight months, Mysterio has been absolutely desperate to get himself back into shape so he could return in time for WWE WrestleMania 28, emanating from Miami, Florida on April 1st, 2012. That date always seemed a little too soon but Mysterio did say last month that he was doing all he could to make that his targeted return. If Mysterio was to appear on Raw tonight, his use is unclear. He has no obvious plans going into WrestleMania as the previously talked about Mask vs. Mask match between himself and Sin Cara in an attempt to break 'the most masked wrestlers at a sporting event' was called off when they both got hurt. If I were booking I would set a relatively short match between Alberto and Rey Mysterio on the WrestleMania card, which could be a short feud built up over a few weeks involving Mil Mascaras (who is Del Rio's uncle and is going in to this year's WWE Hall of Fame) but I imagine with so few singles matches space left on the WM card this year, both superstars would probably end up in the Money in the Bank multi-man Ladder Match.
