The Rum Diary is an average piece of entertainment that contains some top-notch acting, witty dialogue and glossy Hollywood glamour.
It’s not another powerhouse for the Gosling repertoire, but it is a funny, moving relationship movie that does it’s job ably. I’d still rather watch ‘The Kids Are All Right’ again though.
