9 Huge Mistakes In The Harry Potter Books You Didn't Even Notice

Dumbledore did WHAT?!

Writing a series of books like Harry Potter must be incredibly challenging. J.K. Rowling masterfully and seamlessly connects the real world to something grander and infinitely more magical, bending and twisting reality in an attempt to ease the transition into the fantastical.

Once the connection is made, Rowling then has to convince readers that her fictional world is a living, breathing place, and for the most part she greatly succeeds. When it comes down to it, however, Rowling is a human being, capable of slip ups and errors.

This is especially understandable when you consider the sheer amount of detail that needs to be tracked when writing a novel €“ and how much that multiplies with each new entry in the series.
