This moment may not be the most satisfying or epic, but it was simply nice to finally have an explanation as to how Matthew Murdock got his secret identity back after years spent in the public eye.

The story took us back to the later stages of Waid's era of Daredevil, beginning with Typhoid Mary attacking Matt at his home, when his identity was still public. However, after quickly defeating the supervillain, another situation soon arose - namely, the appearance of the purple children.

The children were there looking for refuge from their father who was, you guessed it, the Purple Man. Eventually though, both Daredevil and the kids were taken by the criminal and, in an excellent scene which delved into the mind of Murdock, the Man Without Fear was forced to carry out the worst act he could think of - with a little help from the villain's telepathic abilities, of course.

After escaping the Purple Man's clutches, the children, now also freed, decided to give Matt a gift: using their combined powers to make sure people only knew his secret identity if he wanted them to - giving some explanation to a mystery that had been in readers' minds since the start of the run.
