10 Comic Book Villains That Died (And Never Returned)

2. Justin Hammer

To fans of the MCU, Justin Hammer is a cocky competitor to Tony Stark, and a character brought to life by Sam Rockwell in Iron Man 2. He differs slightly in the comics though, lacking the comedic timing of his onscreen counterpart.

If there's one thing that the comic book version has over the other, however, is that he perished in a pretty spectacular way. Not spectacular in the sense that he went down in a blaze of glory or anything, it's just that he wound up in space... somehow.

After one last gasp attempt at destroying Stark, Hammer (now diagnosed with cancer) takes to his space station. Somehow - in the chaos - he winds up being frozen in a block of ice and jettisoned into space, never to return.
