After eleven years and 21 blockbuster films, it has all come down to this. Avengers: Endgame is just around the corner and fans everywhere are losing their minds, as well as their patience, waiting for the thrilling conclusion to what Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige calls the Infinity Saga.

The wait for the next mega Marvel mashup is what some at this point would call cruel and unusual. Their need to know what happens after the decimation, let alone how the leftover heroes can undo the Mad Titan's heinous snap, is at an all-time high. As the release approaches, very little is known about the film everyone can't wait to see.

This unbearable anticipation and abundant lack of knowledge have undoubtedly caused fans to fatigue and lose some of that initial excitement. One way to satisfy their appetites and rekindle their spirits, however, is to give them an edge on everything they need to know on the material this whole Endgame journey is heavily based off.

These are the ten stories from the pages of Marvel comics every MCU loyalist should check out before Avengers: Endgame touches down in April.

10. Thanos Vol 2: The God Quarry

One of the best things about Avengers: Infinity War was undoubtedly Thanos. He was arguably the most compelling character in the film, which is saying something considering how large that lineup is. He was brilliantly portrayed by actor Josh Brolin, and left fans wanting to know more about the character behind the snap.

Thanos Vol 2: The God Quarry delves deep into The Mad Titan's backstory and his motivations are also explored in detail within its pages. Here fans get a glimpse at a different side of Thanos. Stripped of his armies, psychotic foster children, and gold glove with decimating powers, he must survive by any means possible.

This is a great place to start if people really want to get into the MCU's most formidable villain yet and really understand what makes him tick. It also answers a lot of questions regarding the mysterious Infinity Stones, and the role they have to play in the wider Marvel Universe.

It is hard to believe that audiences will not be getting to know more about their favorite purple-faced conqueror when Avengers: Endgame arrives in theatres. Until then The God Quarry should be able to scratch that Thanos itch until the Mad Titan makes his big screen return.
