10 Coolest And Weirdest Alternate Versions Of Batman

9. Vampire Batman

Batman Grim Knight
DC Comics

The Batman & Dracula trilogy is set on Earth 43, and sees Dracula appear to reign terror upon Gotham. So of course Batman steps in to bring the fiend to defeat.

He does defeat Dracula, but during their encounter is bitten, and later turns into a vampire himself. He continues to fight crime, but struggles with the fact that his new impulses corrupt his moral code. He is brutal towards enemies - a killer - and dispatches the Joker with a fatal neck bite.

He also craves blood as an addict would, struggling with this need on top of his increased propensity for barbarism. Dejected, knowing himself to be a danger to others, he requests to be staked, putting his demonic behaviour to rest.

But he's still needed for a little longer. Not finished with Gotham’s criminals yet, he launches a final crusade, utilising his new monstrous nature in the best way he can.

And then he kills himself. A more tragic story than the quirky title might have suggested.
