Batman: The Long Halloween is waiting for an adaptation that is likely imminent. Reports are already out there, but nothing is official. However, the story will likely be adapted soon, so it figures that the sequel should see the light of day too.

Batman: Dark Victory is the successor to The Long Halloween. It focuses on a turf war between Two-Face and the Falcone mob. All of the tension between the warring factions is escalated by a string of murders committed by a villain calling themselves Hangman. It’s a mystery and crime drama at a level most Batman fans live for and wish to see on screen.

Dark Victory is the kind of gritty plot that everyone expects from a Batman film. The themes and ideas about family and survival are relevant to this hero’s identity.

Not to mention the story features the debut of Dick Grayson as Robin. Sure, that story is played out, but no one minds seeing it happen one more time. The tragedy folds into the overarching plot well, and the final act is a masterpiece of drama.
