The Walking Dead Image Comics
Image Comics

On the surface, Paper Girls is a relatively pedestrian series about a group of young girls who work the local paper route for their town's newspaper. Dig a little deeper and the story unfolds to reveal a complex story involving time travel and war... all in small town America.

Paper Girls first trade paperback compiles the first five issues written by the talented Brian K. Vaughan with art by Cliff Chiang and Matt Wilson. The book takes the reader back to Halloween of 1988 where a small group of 12-year-old newspaper delivery girls don't just deliver the news, they become a huge part of it.

Vaughan's storytelling find a way to interweave a complex tale of time travel, warring factions, small town America, and a coming of age story into a cohesive masterpiece readers have embraced.

Paper Girls is published as an ongoing series consisting of more than 20 issues by September 2018, which are collected within five trade paperbacks. The first volume consists of the series first five issues.
