10 Most Epic Wonder Woman Fights That Blew Fans' Minds

Cheetah. Zeus. Titans. Superman. The Justice League. Wonder Woman has fought them all.

Due to the cheesy television show in the 1970s, Wonder Woman was viewed for decades as a silly character. Until the release of Wonder Woman in 2017, most people laughed at the idea of the character actually having her own movie. Now that the film showed to film fans what her readers have known for a long time - that she's a veritable badass - those same fans cannot wait to see her in the sequel, Wonder Woman 1984.

Although it's great that Wonder Woman is more popular than ever, it's ridiculous that it took this long for her to be taken seriously by the masses. Batman is DC Comics's most popular superhero despite the fact that he has no superpowers and his rogue gallery mainly consisting of a clown, a gangster who looks like a penguin, and a scientist who makes ice puns.

Wonder Woman, on the other hand, fights gorgons, chimeras, and deities. She has knocked Zeus off his feet with a single punch. She has gone toe-to-toe with Titans of incomprehensible power and yet, emerged victorious. She has LITERALLY been to Hell and back.

In fact, she's had so many epic battles since she debuted nearly eight decades ago, it's impossible to fit them all on this list. That doesn't mean no one can try though, as the following ten may just be the most epic of all...

10. Wonder Woman Versus Kryptonians

DC Comics

Because Zod has a military mind and harbours the same strength as Superman, he is considered to be the most dangerous Kryptonian. Allied with his lietuenant, Faora, the Kryptonians made short work of Superman. Wonder Woman intervened to even the odds but realised that she was also outmatched by the duo.

She retreated and prepared for her inevitable rematch. However, Diana knew she couldn't beat Zod fairly. Not only is he stronger than her but he can see her coming a thousand miles way due to his x-ray vision. She can't sneak up on him... or can she?

Diana sought aid from the God of Blacksmiths, Hephaestus, to build an armour for her and Supes. He was hesitant at first since Superman managed to get on the bad side of Hephaestus' brother, Apollo the Sun God, but he eventually agreed to forge two suits for the heroes, rendering them undetectable to the Kryptonians.

Although Diana was trouncing Zod and his right-hand woman, Apollo - who was still holding a grudge against Superman - decided to interfere with the battle. As victory for the superheroes drew near, Apollo endowed Zod and Faora with sunlight, rejuvenating their strength. Given godlike power, the Kryptonians defeated Superman and Wonder Woman. Victory would have been Diana’s if Apollo didn’t double-cross her.
