10 Weirdest Comic Crossovers Of All Time

9. Archie Meets Batman '66

DC Comics/Archie Comics

Not only are the ’66 Batman comics just generally weird, but the fact that Batman didn’t try to adopt Archie or his friends is almost genuinely surprising, given the direction the comic goes in. Would a sidekick Archie have been kind of dope? Tragically, we’ll never know.

What is clear, though, is for anyone who enjoyed the charming campiness of the ’66 Batman show, the comic is a clear winner. Between chili pepper machine guns and cheesy one-liners, the comic feels like watching an episode of the old show, which the tone of the old Archie comics matches almost perfectly.

Archie Meets Batman ’66 is weird, but it’s the kind of weird that has people dip French fries in milkshakes – an unusual, but not unpalatable, experience.
