10 X-Men Stories You'll Never Seen On Film

X-Men vs vampires? Yeeeeeah maybe not.

Right now, the world is Fox's oyster. Having all but junked the X-Men movie franchise, between The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine barely even trying to match the quality of the first two Bryan Singer films, they managed to rejuvenate the entire series with the simple one-two punch of First Class and Days Of Future Past. The former reminded audiences that these movies used to be both fun and competently made; the latter was a surprise blockbuster which reset the status quo and allowed the films to go down a totally new and fresh route in the future, inspired by the success of the Marvel Studios films and the modern superhero movie. Next up, Singer's directing X-Men: Apocalypse, which looks to be setting up a new cast of X-Men to carry on into future films. Gambit and Deadpool are getting spin-offs. The X-Men comics are a pretty rich and interesting source for material, meaning there's no end to what they could adapt into future movies. Well, there is something of an end. There are dozens of classic mutant adventures that would be absolutely amazing on the silver screen, including a bunch of iconic runs that haven't even been touched yet. Then there are the stories that wouldn't work because of rights issues, or because they're terrible, or because they're set in Australia. Here are ten X-Men stories you'll never see on film.
