11 Most Ludicrous Superhero Origin Stories Of All-Time

2. Black Condor

url-21 As we've seen, while some Superheroes are born with awesomeness as part of their DNA, some superheroes have to acquire their powers in bizarre circumstances. Black Condor was no exception. Richard Grey Jnr was born while his parents were on an expedition to Mongolia. The group they were traveling in was attacked by bandits and everyone was killed except for the newly born Richard. If that wasn't enough for you, hang onto your hat. Left for dead, Baby Richard was rescued by a mysterious race of super-intelligent Condors which took in and raised the boy as one of their own, teaching him to fly into the bargain. Years later, a strange, mountain dwelling, hermit known only as "Father Pierre" discovered the boy and with much effort eventually civilized the feral child and taught him to speak English. Young Richard tracked down and killed the Mongolian bandits that killed his parents and then departed for America where he uncovered a plot to kill a US Senator named Thomas Wright. He was too late to save Wright from assassination, and so decided to steal Wright€™s identity (as you do). After committing identity theft, Richard adopted the guise of Black Condor to fight crooked Politicians, bootleggers and muggers.
