6. Tumbler

First Appearance: Tales of Suspense #83 Enemies: Captain America, The Avengers Jared Leto€™s Joker is creating so much buzz right now that you wouldn€™t be too surprised if Marvel Studios began digging into their archive for a villain who could instil the same level of circus-freak terror. I just hope they don't turn to Tumbler. Despite being a Stan Lee/Jack Kirby creation, Tumbler is pretty lame. An acrobat by trade, John Keane was another regular Joe recruited by the Secret Empire, who made a habit of poaching their members from the most unlikely of places. Keane was tasked with breaking into the Avengers Mansion and giving Captain America the run around, though it didn€™t end well for the acrobat in the end. The only interesting thing Tumbler ever did was get killed by the first Moonstone, a murder that the Empire planned and tried to pin on Captain America. Given that the Baron Zemo (to be played by the brilliant Daniel Bruhl of Inglourious Basterds fame) has been announced as the Cap€™s nemesis in Captain America: Civil War, we can rest assured that we won€™t be subjected to Tumbler prancing around on our screens.
