In a moment unlikely to ever be repeated outside of zombie comics, DCeased #3 contains a beautiful moment of catharsis when the long-suffering Harley Quinn gets to murder a zombified Joker with a blast to the stomach with a shotgun.

While it's exactly the kind of thing you expect out of a zombie film, it's also entirely surprising in this context, because it seems almost impossible that the clown's former sidekick will be able to put her feelings for him aside long enough to take his reanimated corpse down.

Unfortunately, this moment did lead to a fan divide - as many felt this moment the Joker's death was wasted on Harley when Barbara Gordon or Jason Todd could have had instead had their revenge against the Clown Prince of Crime. That said, people being annoyed it was Harley who finished the villain off still counts as them being shocked, so this argument only amplified the amount of people taken aback at the shotgun showdown.
