31 Upcoming Comic Book TV Shows You Have To See

Say again? HOW many?

We truly are living in a golden age of comics-based television. In fact, there may never again be quite so many shows based on comics in play. Producers still regard graphic novel content as "the new hotness" and have seen the benefits of adapting a story that's already been worked out in a picture form - pre-storyboarded, one might say - and while DC and Marvel continue to role out new properties, other publishers, especially Image, have been lining up to get ready for their close-ups. There was a time when there were no comic-book-based shows on TV at all, or one or two at most, and keeping up with them was as easy as waking up on Saturday morning. Those days are gone. Now it's worth taking a moment or two just to keep track of 'em all - let's take a look at all thirty-one comic book shows in development right now. And these are just the new ones, not returning ones like Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. or The Flash. One series that will not be reaching your screen any time soon is Hourman. In development last year as a possible expansion on the Flash and Arrow universe, it stalled out and the CW passed to develop (DC's) Legends Of Tomorrow instead.
