X-Men

The various teams of the X-men

The world of the X-Men is expanding once again.

Following Avengers vs X-Men (AvX), mutants have started to appear again and the marvel universe is experiencing new mutants for the first time in years.

However, the world of the X-Men has always been diverse with a variety of different characters with unique mutations and powers. Mutants have always appeared all across the Marvel Universe in comics and series that don’t exclusively feature the X-Men. The vast majority of these have either been affiliated to the X-Men or to one of their enemies such as Magneto and his Brotherhood of Mutants or to Apocalypse and his Horsemen. However, there are some mutants at large that are well known to comic book fans that haven’t been a member of the main mutant group in the Marvel Universe, the X-Men. I think that now would be a great time for them to consider signing up in the wake of the Schism and AvX.

The following mutants are the top five mutants that I would like to see regularly in the X-books as a member of either Cyclops’ team of X-Men based at the New Xavier School or working as a teacher at Wolverine’s Jean Grey Institute. Its not that I don’t like the X-Force teams but I am coming at this from being on one of the ‘public’ teams. If you have a favourite mutant that you would like to see as a X-Man, please comment as discussion is always welcomed!
