5 Things You Didn't Know About Batman

04. Frank Sinatra Lobbied To Play The Joker in the Adam West 60's TV Show

According to Burt Ward, Frank Sinatra was extremely angry that he wasn't considered for the role of The Joker when Batman made his very successful transition from the page to the TV screen back in the 1960's. The role of Batman's nemesis had already been given to Cesar Romero who famously refused to shave off his moustache to play the camp, over the top role that he is most famously remembered for. How different might the show have been with the influential crooner in the role? Would Sinatra have been quite so willing to ham it up as the Clown Prince of Crime or would Sinatra's alleged dark personality have shone through in the end?
