6 Most Important Characters Missing From Captain America: Civil War

Civil War has more characters than a nursing home, but who's missing from the comics?

By movie standards, Captain America: Civil War is absolutely stuffed with characters from the MCU. Even just among the main cast we're dealing with an ensemble bigger than even an Avengers movie, with Cap, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Agent 13, Falcon and the Winter Soldier set to be squaring up to Iron Man, Black Widow, War Machine, Vision and Black Panther come May. Both sides of the civil war are sporting quite the team-sheet but that€™s not it as far as the cast goes. Elizabeth Olsen, William Hurt and Frank Grillo will aslo reprise their roles as Scarlet Witch, General €˜Thunderbolt€™ Ross and Crossbones respectively, whilst Daniel Brühl joins the MCU as the villainous Baron Zemo. There€™s also the small matter of Marvel€™s new Spider-Man making his first appearance. Like I say, it€™s going to be busy, but what€™s amazing is just how many important characters from Marvel€™s original Civil War aren€™t making an appearance. The scope of movies is still nowhere near that of the source comics of course, and with screen space limited Captain America: Civil War couldn€™t possibly be the same battle as the conflict Mark Miller imagined back in 2006. That said, there are still some notable omissions from the battle lines.
