7 Marvel Romances That MCU Fans Don't Know About

4. Black Panther And Storm

This was one of the more pleasant and long-running Marvel relationships, and eventually ended in marriage. Well, it was 90% pleasant at least.

T'Challa, aka Black Panther, and Storm, AKA Ororo Monroe, met when they were young, and their first comic book intimacy came as early as the 1980s. Since that time, their separate job descriptions of Avenger and X-Men member meant that their encounters were often fleeting. But love prevailed and the two finally tied the knot in 2006 (during the superhero Civil War, of all periods).

Their marriage actually marked a temporary ceasefire to the Civil War infighting, and superheroes who were otherwise at loggerheads put their differences aside in respect of a good humble wedding bash, including Cap and Iron Man.

It did not, however, sooth the tensions during the Avengers vs X-Men event six years later. After the near-destruction of Wakanda, and some mass discontent among the X-Men tribe, Panther and Storm come to extreme blows, and a divorce closely followed.

This is recent Marvel history, which means their future is still open-ended. And with recent re-negotiations of character ownership between Fox and Disney, the movies could potentially cover it too.
