8 Biggest Things To Come Out Of Doomsday Clock #2

5. The Marionette And The Mime Are On The Loose

Regardless of how integral they are to his plan, it makes sense that Ozymandias would be keeping the Marionette and the Mime on tight leashes as they ventured to New Earth, given the fact that they're still deranged criminals.

Upon crashing the Owlship in Gotham City, the couple, as well as Rorschach, are knocked out. After snapping Rorschach to, Ozymandias decides to take advantage of their impaired state, and handcuff the Marionette and the Mime to the inside of the ship (much to their dismay, naturally.)

As the issue goes on, we rejoin the couple, only to find out that they are in the process of hatching an escape with the help of the Mime's invisible "lockpick". As the issue ends, it is revealed that they had, in fact succeeded, leaving the unlocked handcuffs on the ship's floor.

What these two will get up to while Ozymandias and Rorschach are off doing their own thing will definitely be of interest as the series progresses. After all, they're dangerous, freshly-escaped convicts who have found themselves in a brand-new city at the heart of a brand-new Earth.

Also, given their street performer gimmicks, you can't help but wonder if they're going to cross paths with a certain other carnival-themed, face-painted lunatic who happens to operate in Gotham City.
