8 Possible Thor Ragnarok Post Credit Scenes We'd Love To See

Will it be worth waiting for?

There was once a time when the credits of a movie meant the end of the show. The audience would actually get up and leave the cinema. That is no longer the case, with films now employing the post-credit scene to either further a shared universe or just pay a bit of fan service.

Marvel, the Kings of the post-credit scene, have been known to use both of these methods and have almost trained their fans to stay in their seats right up until the lights come on and they are asked to leave. The reason these scenes are so effective is because it allows Marvel to give viewers a glimpse of what they can expect for upcoming movies, or put one last smile on their faces.

Thor: Ragnarok will be no different to any other Marvel movie in this regard, and director Taika Waititi is no stranger to the post-credit scene. Though Scott Derrickson directed Doctor Strange, it was the Ragnarok director that actually shot the film's mid credit sting.

He will get the opportunity to do so again for the upcoming Ragnarok, and there are a number of different directions he and Marvel could take...

8. Black Panther Tease

Just like Iron Man 2 teased Thor, Captain America teased The Avengers, and Ant-Man teased Civil War, we may see Thor: Ragnarok tease the next installment of the MCU: Black Panther.

With the Ryan Coogler film set to release just months after Ragnarok, it almost seems like it would be a waste of an opportunity if Marvel didn't remind the cinema full of fans that Chadwick Boseman would be on the same screen very soon.

However, at this time there is no real character or story link between Ragnarok and Black Panther, as it seems the latter will function more as a stand alone film. Though this didn't stop the Thor scene from appearing after Iron Man 2, it was certainly more effective with Captain America and The Avengers.

This is because the films were connected by Captain America - the man we'd just watched for two hours. Similarly, the Civil War tease after Ant-Man was a scene about Ant-Man.

Depending on how many post-credit scenes Ragnarok has, there simply may not be room for the Black Panther tease. Marvel's marketing machine has been working to ensure people know and are excited about Black Panther, and we will likely have another trailer soon. Therefore, Marvel may be better using this opportunity to expand on other aspects of its vast Universe.
