The divide between DC and Marvel off the page might be a stark one, but currently - when it comes to the comics - it's almost impossible to tell who's better in a given moment.

Both publishers have been in a place of relative strength for the past couple of years, and it's easy to see as much by taking a look at their solicitations. They give readers a sneak-peek at what's to come, and while we're still awaiting Marvel's for June 2019, DC went ahead and revealed theirs last Friday.

Unsurprisingly, given just how much material the publisher publishes each month, there was a whole lot to unpack. New books were revealed, spoilers were spoiled, and a whole host of other comics that were already announced were shown off for the first time.

It effectively proves what every comic book reader knows already - that to limit yourself to just one publisher is huge mistake to make. There is so much good still to come from DC as the year progresses, but what, exactly, sticks out from their June releases?

With new events, variant covers and even the odd omission here and there, here’s what we learned from DC’s most recently released solicitations.
