9 Female Marvel Heroes Who Desperately Deserve An MCU Movie

7. Jessica Drew (Spider-Woman)

Another espionage-oriented hero this time around, but one that's no less equipped for her own MCU feature.

While nothing has been said of Jessica Drew - the eponymous Spider-Woman herself - being in the MCU, and rights issues with Sony loom overhead, it makes perfect sense to give her a solo film somewhere down the line, if not to diversify the MCU, than to carry the torch for a super-spy themed superhero film getting made.

Although her namesake would imply that Drew's more closely aligned to Spider-Man than she is to S.H.I.E.L.D., it's actually quite the reverse. Spider-Woman was one of S.H.I.E.L.D's foremost operatives over the years, and while she's been more closely associated with P. I. work recently (having started a friendship with Jessica Jones), it's the spy genre where she'd be most at home.

She's got super strength, super speed and agility, but she can also blast pure biokinectic energy from her fists too. It's a major move-set for a major hero, and one that'd be right at home in the MCU.

Drew's a brilliant character, and while it would be terrible if Widow never were to get her own film, there's a fine replacement waiting in Spider-Woman.
