When Arrow first aired in 2012, no one could have imagined the future universe that Stephen Amell’s show had started. The fact that a show about an archer with no powers has created the so-called Arrowverse is nothing short of a miracle.

After having inspired spin-offs, such as The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and the upcoming Batwoman, and also having crossed over with Supergirl, Constantine, and even The Flash from the 1990s, there's no denying that this television universe is something special.

Crisis on Infinite Earths has been rumored ever since the first episode of The Flash all the way back in 2014 and was officially confirmed at the end of the Arrowverse’s 2018 crossover, Elseworlds. Fans of the Arrowverse shows are pumped for this crossover to end all crossovers, and while they're unsure how closely the CW version of the event will follow the storyline from the comics, we do know quite a lot about it already.

By all accounts, it seems as though The CW are pulling out all the stops for this latest crossover. Featuring huge returns from beloved characters and actors from DC's past, Crisis on Infinite Earths is shaping up to be fall's most important TV event.

It was revealed earlier in 2019 that the crossover would be taking place over five episodes, with three episodes airing this December and the final two airing in January of 2020.

One episode is to be dedicated to each of the Arrowverse CW shows, which include Arrow, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and the upcoming Batwoman series.

This would make Crisis on Infinite Earths the Arrowverse crossover with the most episodes, with Crisis on Earth-X coming in second with four.

It still remains to be seen what the exact dates will be for the crossover as well as the episode order. It has been speculated that the final episode airing in December could be a cliffhanger to be resolved in the final two episodes airing in January of 2020.
