4. Can Lee Thompkins' Chip Be Reactivated?
We might be about half way through the season, but series mainstay Lee Thompkins has been absent from Season 5 thus far. That is, until 13 Stitches, when the doc made a surprise return - as Eduardo's hostage and bargaining chip.
The whole subplot of her having been programmed by Walker to murder Gordon was a bit predictable, but it did provide an interesting dilemma for Gordon, who had to electrocute the love of his life to ease her murderous desires.
When Lee came round, she was her old self once more, which suggests that the electricity had short-circuited the chip in her brain. Is this the end of Lee being used by Walker, Strange and the others?
Perhaps not, because - unlike Ed Nygma - the chip is still inside the doc's head, and as a result, it's likely that it could be reprogrammed in the future. If Gordon stands any chance of defeating his new antagonists, then he'd need to get that chip removed ASAP.
