6. Where Is Lee Thompkins?
While Year Zero featured almost every one of Gotham's protagonists, there was one character who was inconspicuously missing, and that was Lee Thompkins. The former doctor was last seen in The Narrows, a place where she gained respect and notoriety as the medical practitioner of Gotham's underworld, but her brief fling with Nygma ruined all of that.
Much like Ed, Lee was seemingly deceased at the end of the previous season. The two lovers engaged in a violent fight before they both brutally stabbed one another. Lee's body was also taken to Hugo Strange, which means it's more than likely he'll be bringing her back from the dead.
With Nygma officially back among the land of the living, Lee will likely be the next in line. We know from the promotional material released for Gotham's final season that the character will feature in the upcoming episodes in some capacity.
What's more, we also know that she's no longer sporting that horrible fringe, and resembles the version of herself from before she went off the rails, which is likely indicative of her state of mind. How she will be brought back is yet to be revealed, but we're looking forward to finding out.
