Gotham Series Finale: 7 Easter Eggs & References You Might Have Missed In 'The Beginning...'

Perhaps the best hidden secret of the finale, this is more of a visual nod than a direct reference, but once you see it, you won't be able to unsee it.

Immediately following the show's jump into the future, viewers were treated to a brand new look at the cityscape we had all become so familiar with. However, if you look closely, you just might see the future itself hidden within those buildings.

Just past the middle of the shot, towards the right hand side, you may have noticed that a group of buildings are huddled together in such a way that they vaguely form the shape of a bat - or more specifically, the top half of Batman's iconic emblem.

Some fans may have already recognised this from the final season's official logo which intentionally showcased those buildings in a bid to create a Bat-like shape.

A subtle way of foreshadowing the future, no doubt, and a nice homage to the Caped Crusader himself.
