7. No Lanterns... But For How Long?
Steppenwolf is keen to remind us the Green Lantern Corps exist in the DCEU in the latest Justice League trailer, and there may be a good reason for that.
Warner Bros has a Green Lantern Corps movie penned in for 2020 and there's no reason why it can't begin sowing the seeds for it early.
Superman's return has already been spoiled - by Warner itself, no less - but the introduction of a Lantern in Justice League would be nice surprise for the fans.
Taking tentative steps towards the Corps movie, some have speculated that Hal Jordan's predecessor Abin Sur could make an appearance in the film's concluding act to give the League some extra firepower against Steppenwolf.
Perhaps Sur could end up mortally wounded in the final battle, allowing Jordan to inherit his Power Ring in a post-credits sequence.
Of course, that's not how it happened in the comics, but you have to take some creative liberties when you have a cinematic universe to build.
