8. The Trailers Fail To Set The Stakes
As much as we love seeing Bruce Wayne exchanging awkward banter with The Flash and encountering Aquaman for the first time, every Justice League trailer so far has failed miserably in one key area.
For all of the camaraderie on show, the promo footage neglects to highlight what's at stake in the movie, why these heroes are teaming up, and why we should even care, besides our existing love for the characters.
Thus far Justice League has failed to establish any kind of threat, beyond a few Parademons and Batman's vague warning of "an attack coming from far away".
This entire situation could have been rectified by giving us a glimpse at the villain, who we know to be Steppenwolf, and showing us what he is capable of.
That way we'd know, and maybe even care, why DC Comics' finest have been forced to pool their considerable resources.
