Justice League Comic-Con Trailer: 8 Ups And 2 Downs

It's all coming together... right now.

DCs fans have reason to be smug in the wake of Comic-Con 2017.

Although Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok trailer was the business, even the mighty God of Thunder can't compete with the combined strength of Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and their super friends.

Yep, the second full trailer for Justice League was a real show-stealer, raising the roof at the San Diego convention and dispelling some of our biggest doubts about the team-up project.

Avengers director Joss Whedon is putting the finishing touches on the movie, taking over from Zack Snyder following the tragic death of his daughter, and the latest footage suggests its coming together (right now) nicely.

Justice League follows on from the events of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and finds the Caped Crusader on a mission to assemble a team comprised of the world's greatest superheros to combat an alien threat.

It also comes hot on the heels of Wonder Woman's barnstorming solo debut, a film which single-handedly dispelled the dark clouds over the DC cinematic universe.

So Diana Price has given it a lot to live up to, and while Comic-Con left us with renewed hope for the Justice League, we'll start with the few quibbles we have about the latest trailer...

10. Cyborg Still Looks Terrible

Oh, Victor Stone, what have they done to you?

In an age where the Planet of the Apes reboot trilogy can convince us that we're looking at living, breathing simians, there's no excuse for CGI this poor.

Cyborg could have used the profile boost as the Justice League's lesser known hero, but they've made him look like a rejected Terminator design, nixed from the production line by Skynet for being too cheesy.

When the earlier trailers hit, we were willing to put this down to a lack of post-production polish, but it's getting late in the day now; so this could very well be the Cyborg we're left with in the final cut.

Ropey CGI appears to be a problem for Justice League as there are spatterings of it throughout the latest trailer.

That scene where Aquaman rides a Parademon like a surfboard through several stories of a building is all kinds of awesome, but the effects could use spit and polish.
