MCU Phase 4: 10 Comic Book Panels That Must Be Recreated

8. Spider-Man And Aunt May Have 'The Conversation'

Although there's every chance we could be seeing this moment in Infinity War, it's a scene Marvel will have to address sooner or later.

Jon Watts' Hughes-inspired take on the Wall-Crawler made for one of the freshest Marvel outings yet, but perhaps its most interesting moment occurred right at its end, with a flabbergasted Aunt May walking in on Peter as he admires his Spidey-suit in the mirror.

Obviously there are plenty of ways that Marvel could address this twist. Knowing the ol' Parker Luck however, it's likely that the studio will opt to tackle the issue head on. The origin-heavy nature of the Sam Raimi and Marc Webb films meant that any analysis of Spidey's origins would have to wait, and indeed, references to Uncle Ben so far have been marginal at best, save for Peter donning one of his old suits for the homecoming prom.

And so, any Homecoming sequel is likely to be much heavier than its predecessors. We already know that it'll be picking up right where Infinity War left off, and although the MCU timeline in its current state is a tad higgledy-piggledy, one would imagine that we won't be seeing Peter's conversation with Aunt May on the cutting-room floor.

If Marvel are looking to address this moment head on, then they should be looking to J Michael Straczynski and John Romita Jr's 'The Conversation', an issue where Pete and May hug things out and talk about the night Ben died. Focussing on the above panel would be a surefire way of hammering home the hole left by Ben's absence, and acknowledge a piece of history the MCU has so far been reluctant to address.
