MCU X-Men: 10 Characters Who Must Appear (And Who Should Play Them)

Do we REALLY need Wolverine?

X Men Characters 2
Marvel Comics

Out of all the superhero teams found across the universes of both Marvel and DC, it's fair to say that the X-Men have one of - if not the - largest rosters ever to grace the pages of either publisher.

With that said, there are numerous characters to have starred alongside Marvel's mutants who we'd love to see in the films - far too many for one list alone. So, if you're wondering why none of the most famous X-people are here (the Wolverines and Cyclopses of this world), it's because it would be a waste of time to include them, seeing as it is highly likely that they will appear when the mutant populace joins the MCU within the franchise's next few phases.

But what about those mutants who aren't nailed on to appear on the big screen? With the X-Men dating all the way back to the 1960s, there are dozens of different, fan-favourite characters who haven't had a spotlight. Here are some of our picks for the slightly lesser known, or yet to be well-done, characters which should be chosen to feature in Kevin Feige's version of the team.

10. Trinary

Marvel Comics

Why They Should Appear:

One of the most recent additions to the X-verse, Trinary is a technopath, able to control any and all technology with her mind.

The character began life in the pages of Tom Taylor's brilliant X-Men Red, a series which did well to demonstrate her abilities, with her performing feats such as controlling a sentinel, or using hateful internet comments to foil the plans of Professor Xavier's evil sister, Cassandra Nova - all of which were massively enjoyable for readers of the series.

With said powers, Trinary would more than be a force to reckoned with, especially in the extremely tech-heavy world of the MCU. If there is ever a film version of the Avengers Vs. X-Men crossover, Iron Man wouldn't stand a chance.

Who Should Play Them:

Of Slumdog Millionaire and Mowgli fame, Freida Pinto would be a brilliant choice to portray the character on-screen.
