Ranking The Green Lanterns Worst To Best

9. Sinestro

Green Lantern Corps
DC Comics

Before you hop on your soapbox exclaiming Sinestro is a villain, let's not forget he was a Green Lantern for a long time before turning to evil. Granted, he devolved into a tyrant on his homeworld, but in the beginning, he was regarded as one of the best Green Lanterns in the Corps.

Much of Sinestro's good deeds as a Green Lantern were revealed long after the character debuted in Green Lantern #7 in 1961. When he was introduced, he was assigned to train the new Green Lantern of Space sector 2814, Hal Jordan.

Jordan was immediately put into a state of unease due to the authoritarian actions he saw his new mentor carrying out and they became enemies. This eventually led to Sinestro's expelling from the Corps, but there was a time when he was considered to be an honorable man.

Over the years, he went on to become one of the biggest villains in the DC Universe, but he stood with his fellow Green Lanterns for years before succumbing to his natural, evil tendencies.
