R-Truth and Drake Maverick's ongoing WWE 24/7 Championship rivalry looks set to take them to San Diego Comic-Con today, with PW Insider reporting that WWE will film a match between the duo to air via social platforms or on next week's Raw/SmackDown.
There's currently no word on what, exactly, the duo will get up to, though there's a chance they might appear on a scheduled WWE panel this morning.
Per the writeup, WWE have booked a room with Mattel at 11:15am for that purpose today. Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder will host a lineup featuring Rey Mysterio, WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, and Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch.
R-Truth and Carmella teased the Comic-Con showdown on this week's SmackDown. After freeing the hiding 24/7 Champion from a washing machine (!), 'The Princess of Staten Island' suggested they head to SDCC, and off they ran without a single challenger in sight.
Truth is currently in his ninth reign with the 24/7 Title. Him and Maverick have now traded the green and gold strap four times between them, so there's every chance we could see another wacky switch when they get down to business in San Diego.
