X-Men: Apocalypse - 10 Big Storylines That Should Come Next

Old Man Logan Hugh Jackman Fox have got big plans for the X-Men. Whilst Sony have buckled under the pressure of Marvel The Unstopabble Movie Machine and (sort of) relinquished the rights to the publisher's Spider-Man, soon to join their Cinematic Universe, Fox are powering through with plans to expand the world of their mighty mutants even further than prequels and Wolverine spin-offs. Having revitalised the flagging franchise first with First Class and second with the timeline-altering Days Of Future Past, they've found a way to not only make X-Men films exciting again but also letting them essentially start from scratch. Which is why Deadpool's getting a solo movie, despite dying in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and Gambit can be played by Channing Tatum despite looking a lot like Taylor Kitsch in that same film. This morning brought the news that, following next main movie Apocalypse, star Jennifer Lawrence will be leaving the series behind. That film will supposedly be Mystique's last, then, and will also see Fox having finished up all of the big storylines from the comic books. So, where to next? At this point, the world is their oyster. More spin-offs and a potential TV series are on the horizon, but the main franchise will also continue unabataed €“ but what new directions could they go in? Cosmic epic? Small drama? Elderly Hugh Jackman? Here are just ten suggestions for big storylines the X-Men films should tackle next.
