One of the most gripping films of 2016 makes its way onto digital platforms this month, when espionage thriller ANTHROPOID arrives on January 16th, 2017 courtesy of Icon Film Distribution.

Based on true events, the films focusses on the extraordinary story of two Czechoslovakian agents as they embark on a daring plot to assassinate SS officer Reinhard Heydrich. As the main architect behind the Final Solution and third in command of the Nazi forces behind Hitler and Himmler, the agents are starkly aware that by removing Heydrich they can change the course of the War in Europe before it is too late. But with a country in lock down and little intelligence to work with the pair are fighting against the odds.

Starring Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades Of Grey, TV’s The Fall) and Cillian Murphy (The Dark Knight, TV’s Peaky Blinders), ANTHROPOID offers a fascinating window into one of the most outrageous plots of the Second World War.
