It's been quite a week for movie news, both in terms of the comic book realm (as per usual) and the wider blockbuster arena. We learned more about the heroes and villains headlining a number of upcoming tentpoles, got the inside track on the latest sequel to a smash hit horror series, and even got to see some of the insane stuntwork going into an upcoming action vehicle.

While some of the news has definitely proven more peculiar than flat-out joyous, as ever, we won't truly know how to take a lot of these announcements until we sit down in the cinema and see them in action for ourselves.

From spy reports on the Star Wars Episode VIII to the most off-the-cuff Instagram reveals, here are 10 movie spoilers we didn't know last week...

9. Batman Only Interacts With Deadpool, Harley & Joker In Suicide Squad

We have some more information about Batman's role in Suicide Squad, which the most recent trailer seemed to suggest was much beefier than a mere cameo.

Well, it turns out that Bats shares two scenes with Deadshoot (one a flashback, the other an "emotional" one in the present day), he rescues Harley Quinn when The Joker's car crashes into a river (quite probably another flashback), and apparently has just a few brief interactions with The Joker himself.

This isn't terribly surprising as Warner Bros. won't want to blow their wad too early but rather tease another Batman-Joker showdown for the future, and the fact that Batman seems to have at least three or four scenes in the film is really plenty.
