Game of Thrones' sixth season sustained momentum from its rock solid opener with a nail-biter of a second episode that got a number of plot threads enthusiastically moving forward, and of course, as ever, the body count was pretty sizable.

We finally got some resolution to season five's biggest cliffhanger, there wasn't a single scene set in Dorne, and Ramsay Bolton continued to cement himself as that villain everybody watching just loves to hate, eagerly anticipating his comeuppance.

Naturally, we're counting down the hours until the next episode, which is primed to be a corker from where this one left us, and will hopefully continue to serve up the thrilling surprises of the series so far. Also, if we could get Daenerys' plot actually going somewhere soon, that'd be pretty great too.

Here are 12 WTF moments from Home...

12. Young Ned Stark

The episode opens with Bran Stark training with the Three-eyed Raven, where he briefly sees a vision of Ned, Benjen, and Lyanna Stark training in Winterfell. This is the first of reportedly several Ned Stark flashbacks we're going to see throughout season six, with Robert Aramayo playing a slightly older version in episodes to come.

No, it doesn't look like we'll see Sean Bean reprising his role any time soon in a more recent flashback, but never say never. It was a jarring but pleasantly surprising way to kick the episode off, and gave us a greater dimension into not only Ned, but also his siblings, specifically Lyanna, who was of course mentioned often in earlier seasons.
