The Buzz: Though Wes Anderson's films are generally well-received by critics, he's been on a particularly impressive streak lately, with his last three movies, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, Moonrise Kingdom and The Grand Budapest Hotel, scoring 93%, 93% and 92% respectively.

Even for the standards of Anderson's works, Isle of Dogs has the makings of an immensely creative, thought-provoking masterpiece.

The stop-motion adventure film is set in a dystopian future Japan where dogs have been exiled to a remote island due to a "canine flu" outbreak, and a small group of the dogs help a trespassing boy search for his own pet dog.

With the likes of Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Bill Murray and Jeff Goldblum among its cast, this has incredible potential to be Anderson's most visually enticing, funniest, sweetest and straight-up weirdest film to date.
