10 Actors Whose Credibility Has Suffered The Most In 2017 (So Far)

9. Russell Crowe

Whilst some folk seemed to have enjoyed Russell Crowe's bizarre turn in what is arguably the most generic action movie ever made, there's no denying his entire "performance" (if you could even call it that) in The Mummy is well below the usual standard we're used to getting from the Oscar-winning actor.

Is this what Russell Crowe is doing now? Has he given up on the prestigious roles that came to define his career, choosing instead to deliver lines like: "We're talking about evil, Mr. Morton." Honestly, how many times does Jekyll end up saying the words "Mr. Morton" in The Mummy? It is a silly amount, that's for sure.

Don't even start on the part where Jekyll transforms into Hyde, which - aside from being entirely premature as far as this cinematic universe is concerned - is beyond embarrassing, what with its low-end Guy Ritchie trappings.

After such a shambolic and goofy, it's hard to see Crowe in the same light, in the same caliber as the actor who gave us Gladiator. In the wake of his disastrous role in Les Miserables, The Mummy really wasn't what his career needed.
