In Knocked Up, Katherine Heigl's breakthrough role (or so it seemed), the actress is charming and like-able, two words used a little too often to describe performances these days, but nevertheless completely apt. In everything else since, she's been shrill and annoying and wholly unbelievable as a character. Granted, good roles for women aren't as easy to come by, so a few of these choices might be forgivable, especially so considering that the majority of the films are harmless. Still, though, every one? Not one respite? Every last one? But no, yes, every single one: 27 Dresses; The Ugly Truth; Life As We Know It; Killers; New Year's Eve; One For The Money; Love Me Like You Do; Home Sweet Hell. Even the titles are hate-worthy.
