10 Awesome Horrors To Watch This Halloween

9. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (franchise)

Ranked eighth overall at the US box office, Leatherface and his family of backward hillbilly's have helped create one of the most popular American horrors of all time since 1974's introductory film. When a video game adaptation of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre appeared eight years after the release of the original film, it has been followed by various comic books, three sequels, a remake, and a prequel to the remake. There's even a 3D film in the pipeline to be released some time next year. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre: The Beginning is, in spite of the title, the more contemporary of the franchise and would appeal more to a teen audience, whilst 1974's offering might be a good shout for the adults among us. You can't go too far wrong when choosing between the six films in the series, and its one of the best slasher films around.
