9. Animation - Finding Nemo
Pixars mainstream success can be attributed to some of its earliest incarnations. The likes of Toy Story, Monster Inc. and Finding Nemo have set the standard high for quality animation and storytelling. Finding Nemo takes the top spot because it was one of the first times that Pixar was able to mix both children and adult content together successfully. As children we enjoyed the film because of the array of interesting characters and the idea that fish are friends not food! But as adults weve enjoyed the film for its complex realities of being a parent. The substance of the film was quality over quantity and is one of the most memorable animated films of the 2000s. It also established standards in future animated films that for the most part have been upheld.
