Does anybody remember those Resident Evil movies by Paul W.S. Anderson that came out between, oh...2002 through 2016? Or maybe the first Mortal Kombat movie, or how about Alien vs. Predator? Well now Anderson is directing, and writing, a Monster Hunter movie with a planned premier of September 2020.

Starring Anderson's usual female lead, and wife, Milla Jovovich the film centers on Lt. Artemis (Jovovich), and her team of United Nations commandos being portal-dropped into a realm of gigantic monsters. They'll have to hunt said monsters in order to survive and get back to their own world, as well. All the while they'll need to stop the monsters from getting through the portal and into our world.

The movie has a hell of a cast including the aforementioned Jovovich, master martial artist Tony Jaa, and all-around badass Ron Perlman, even if the premise sounds kind of stupid. Principal photography was completed last year – so this coming train wreck is well on its way to meeting its intended release date. At least Anderson has announced that he has no plans on creating new monsters for the film, since the game series has plenty of monster variety of its own, already.
