10 Best Star Wars Cosplay Characters Ever

10. Many And Varied Aliens

As the world's most famous space opera, Star Wars boasts its fair share of alien flora and fauna, and the Expanded Universe of books, comics and especially video games has increased the number of alien protagonists and antagonists for fans to cosplay, given that the films tend to stick to human-form goodies. What this basically means is that if you've got the wherewithal, and you fancy cosplaying one of the strange and wonderful alien races that populate George Lucas' galaxy far, far away, then you've got a whole variety to choose from. So it's odd that so many fans choose to cosplay a Twi'lek, those tentacle-headed aliens first introduced in Return Of The Jedi. Since that film was released, the Twi'Leks have become insanely popular in Star Wars fandom, leading to the introduction of the Jedi knight Aayla Secura in the prequels... ..and the Sith Lady Darth Talon in the expanded universe (first appearing in Dark Horse comics and later absolutely everywhere - she's one of the most popular characters in the franchise).
But of course, there are the less sexy exotics from the films - like the Ewoks and the Wookies...
...and everyone's favourite Tatooine-based scroungers and scavengers, the Jawas.
Rumour has it that a superfan by the name of Syban Velardi-Laufer intends to dress up as the Sarlacc for next July's London Star Wars Celebration event, and squat in the middle of the ExCel Centre screaming, waving her tentacles and trying to eat people. Typical.
