10 Biggest Justice League Mysteries

Is there a surprise seventh member of the team?

While Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad were big hits for DC, it’s fair to say they were divisive too. Critics almost universally hated hem, and even longtime DC fans expressed disappointment in them. That said, they also have a lot of fans, and even those who are lukewarm on them are still curious about the Justice League.

It’s difficult not to be excited for a movie that teams all of the Super Friends together on the big screen, and Warner Bros are positively tossing money at it. It will be a decisive movie for them, which will either hush the naysayers or give them more ammunition.

DC have been doing a great job building hype for it too, releasing a teaser that got fans stoked, and it certainly looks cool. They’ve also done an excellent job keeping the plot under wraps, and while we know certain things, there are still a lot of mysteries to unpack.

From surprise cameos to key plot points, here are some of the biggest mysteries surrounding the Justice League movie, and how they might play out.

10. Will Lois Lane Die?

Justice League
Warner Bros.

During Bruce Wayne’s elaborate nightmare in Dawn Of Justice, The Flash appears to warn him that Lois is the key. Apparently, in the future depicted in this dream, Lois is dead, which causes Superman to turn evil. He seems to blame Batman for her death too, suggesting he had some direct influence on her demise.

It’s kind of unlikely DC would dangle that carrot if they don’t plan to pay it off. Zack Snyder showed with the execution of Jimmy Olson that he’s not terribly sentimental about messing with fan favourite characters, so Lois’ death appears to be inevitable.

It’s a matter of when, and with Lois confirmed to appear in the movie, it’s entirely possible she may not make it to the end credits. It may sound unlikely, but again, no one expected Superman to die in the BVS either.
