10 Biggest Lies Told By Action Movies

It's not a great idea to use these films as the source for any sort of real world application of knowledge.

An enjoyment of the cinematic arts is something that is usually instilled in us at a very young age. I'm sure we've all spent considerable time in our childhood pretending to be our favorite characters. For me personally, I alternated between being Luke Skywalker and Daniel Laruso. The influence movies have on our lives and our popular culture can't be denied. Who among us hasn't learned at least a few valuable life lessons from the big screen? Thanks to the genius that was "The Goonies", I knew to expect the awkwardness of a first kiss and that there's nothing more unshakeable than the loyalty of true friends. "Star Wars" taught us that there will always be temptations pulling us toward the dark side, and that we must constantly work to overcome them. And "Up" taught me that growing old is the saddest thing ever and I'm terrified to die. Thanks, Pixar. Movies are also responsible for some pretty downright egregious lies. Especially action features. The action film is loved by casual moviegoers and those of us who appreciate some escapism with our popcorn butter€“drenched blockbusters, and abhorred by the elitist cinephile that deems them too unworthy of their cultured highbrow tastes. But since we're on the subject of learning things from movies, it's usually not a great idea to use such films as the source for any sort of real world application of knowledge. If you do, you could be in for a serious disappointment. You could also quite possibly wind up dead. Let's take a look at 10 of the biggest lies told in action movies.
