10 Biggest Marvel Studios Mistakes

10. Horny Hulk

Marvel must be awfully grateful that Iron Man was such a success as the Marvel Cinematic Universe would more than likely be non-existent had they relied solely on Hulk's movie back in 2008. The Incredible Hulk remains the black sheep of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and its shortcomings could be why fans still don't have that Planet Hulk film. Apart from an incredible final battle sequence between the Hulk and Abomination, The Incredible Hulk didn't have an awful lot going for it. That wasn't helped by the fact that the portrayal of the Hulk's powers were particularly annoying and goofy. Rather than focusing on his rage, it was revealed that even a stressful taxi ride could trigger a transformation! It was just silly, and reached its peak with the reveal that Bruce Banner and Betty Ross couldn't have sex in fear of triggering a Hulk attack. Really?! Not only is this an extremely poor adaptation of the character's powers, it was a childish plot point (which ended up being one of many). Joss Whedon thankfully righted a lot of these wrongs in The Avengers.
