Steve Trevor's ultimate sacrifice in Wonder Woman's final act was an emotional gut punch, but only the most naive of movie fans write a character off as 100% brown bread without actually seeing a corpse.
His plane went up in flames, but parachutes almost certainly exist in the DC movie universe, so this isn't quite an open and shut case.
Trevor's potential survival will be a moot point in Justice League, since he'd be more than 100 years old in the film's timeline, though this could be a matter that's laid to rest in Wonder Woman 2.
Reports suggest Diana Prince is heading for the Cold War era in her second on-screen solo outing. Although her love interest would be getting on by that point had he managed to cheat death, there could be room for a CGI-aged Chris Pine in the sequel.
